House Party Bulletin Board

Children ages 10 and up helped create a bulletin board for the Children's Room.  They painted while listening to music and snacking on chips.  They had fun putting their handprints and footprints on the paper as well as experimenting with sponges.  Stay tuned for more House Party fun this summer on June 20th, July 18th, and August 8th at 4pm.  Don't miss it!

Summer Reading Bulletin Board Ideas

Here are a few ideas for decorating your library for the summer reading program.  If you can only cover a 2'x4' space, I would recommend using 2" letters instead of the 4" letters that I used below.  Otherwise, enlarge all displays to 4'x8' and use the 4" letters.:

2'x4' display board, die-cut ducks, watercolor tempera paint

2'x4' display board, die-cut various dinosaurs, watercolor tempera paint (the key to this one is to find a good vanishing point for the trees, I eyeballed this one)

2'x4' display board, die-cut green tractors, watercolor tempera paint (make sure you use a vanishing point 6" above the center of the 2' painting area)

2'x4' display board, die-cut carrots and worms, watercolor tempera paint

see you at the library, audrey

Bulletin Boards @ Easton Area Public Library

Our bulletin boards express the staff's desire to make you feel welcome in the library and share the festive spirit of the season.  Our local artist-in-residence, Miss Katie, painstakingly researches displays and ways to enlarge visual effects in entertaining ways that delight and astound.  If you think the pictures are awesome, please come and visit us to see her work before it comes down for her next amazing project!  Happy Holidays!  Miss Audrey.
